Flickr/Yahoo! SSO

Defined the UX for Yahoo!'s first off-network sign-in experience — a new authentication layer that allowed users to access Flickr and other Yahoo! properties using third-party credentials, removing a significant barrier to participation.

The project required careful navigation of a sensitive design space: expanding login options without disrupting the existing experience for current users, and without introducing confusion for new ones. Designed comprehensive user flows covering a wide range of use cases, edge cases, and error states — the kind of detail that separates a functional implementation from one that holds up at scale.

The design was validated through a staged production test on Flickr.com, one of Yahoo!'s highest-traffic properties.
