UX Strategy Lead for Volkswagen's new ID. line electric vehicle companion app — a ground-up product designed to support drivers of a new generation of vehicles, launched across multiple markets.

Defined the overall UX strategy for the mobile app, establishing the design principles and interaction patterns that would guide the product through launch and beyond. The app serves as an everyday companion: remote vehicle monitoring, charge management, climate pre-conditioning, and real-time status — designed for the specific mental model of EV ownership, not adapted from legacy combustion vehicle apps.

The work involved close collaboration with engineering, product, and brand teams across Germany, ensuring a consistent and premium experience that reflected the standard of the ID. vehicle lineup.
